Our second event of the season was on November 12, at the home of Sandy and Jerry Kraft. It was all about “Wines for the Holidays” with a selection of wines from sparkling through a somewhat sweet Gewürztraminer and all chosen to be of very reasonable price, but excellent quality. The purpose was to give our members a choice of wines whose prices wouldn’t break the bank if we were serving them to a large Holiday gathering or giving them as gifts. The purpose was well achieved; the wines were very tasty! Prices ranged from $20 to $59 per bottle, with most being $20-something.
Our delectable snacks were a tender, tasty Turkey, prepared Sous-Vide and an equally delicious Roast Beef all prepared by our Program Chair, Lloyd Foster. Lloyd also made cookies that we all thought were professionally made. They had a special story behind them. Our Host prepared Chocolate Chip/Cherry cookies and a Cranberry Torte. The food was delicious! The setting in the Krafts’ Wine Room was perfect.
